Enhanced Care
Our enhanced care service is available to inpatients that might need additional monitoring during their recovery following a procedure.
Our Consultant Anaesthetists will review each patient’s pre-admission assessment results and may recommend admission to an enhanced care bed after surgery.
Specialist patient care
If you’re advised that you might need an enhanced care bed, we will go through all of the reasons why and what you can expect after your treatment. Our enhanced care beds are situated inside Nickleby Ward. Each enhanced care patient benefits from state-of-the-art technology for continuous cardiac monitoring, and a higher nurse to patient ratio for specialist patient care.
