Interventional Suite

KIMS Hospital contains the only private Interventional Cardiology facility in Kent. Our Interventional Suite is a full operating room environment for both Interventional Cardiology and Interventional Radiology.

Our patients are cared for on our dedicated day ward after undergoing both diagnostic and Interventional treatments such as Angiograms, Pacemaker Implants, Electrophysiology, Stent Insertions, Vascular access and more.

You can call me Daisy

At the heart of The Interventional Suite sits the GE IGS Discovery 730. Affectionately known by our team as “Daisy”, this is our state-of-the-art X-ray system, which has many advanced applications to support Consultants in making a diagnosis and performing treatments.

Dickens Ward

The Interventional Suite also includes Dickens Ward, our dedicated interventional recovery ward. Dickens comprises 18 day-case bays where patients are cared for by the specialist Cardiac/Interventional nursing team. Each bay contains monitoring equipment, which allows our team to observe patients closely after their procedure.
