Your one-stop breast clinic journey
It can be an unnerving time when you have concerning symptoms relating to your breasts. Our team of breast care specialists want to help you understand the possible steps in your journey through our one-stop Breast Clinic.If you are experiencing any concerning symptoms in your breasts or armpit area and are over the age of 18, you are eligible to book an appointment at our one-stop breast clinic. You do not need a referral from your GP to attend.
The breast clinic is available at KIMS Hospital and Sevenoaks Medical Centre.

One of our dedicated clinic nurses will support you during your initial consultation with your Consultant Breast Surgeon who will discuss your symptoms and examine you.
Your Consultant may request that you have diagnostic tests during your appointment. This is usually either a mammogram and/or ultrasound. Please be aware that you may be in clinic for approximately 2-3 hours.
In some instances, further examinations is required and your Consultant may request a core biopsy. Results are usually returned within 7-10 working days.
Your Consultant will take time to talk you through the results of our mammogram and/or ultrasound during your appointment.
For core biopsy results you will be called in for an appointment on a future date. One of our nurses will be able to offer you any support and guidance you might want during this time.
If your Consultant Breast Surgeon recommends further treatment, they will discuss all of the available options with you. Our Breast Care Nurse Specialists will also be able to support you and help with any questions you might have.
Please note further treatment is not available at Sevenoaks Medical Centre.

Please be aware, if you are requesting a diagnostic scan such as an MRI, or CT, you must have a referral from a relevant clinician or Allied Health professional such as a physiotherapist.
