Dr Kothari is a Consultant in Anaesthesia and Pain Medicine at Guys and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust and Medway NHS Foundation Trust, with over 20 years’ experience in her special interest in Chronic Pain Medicine.

In 2026, she received the award of Specialist Pain Medicine Credential by GMC. She is a member of the International Association of the Study of Pain, the British Pain Society, European Society of Regional Anaesthesia and Neuromodulation Society.

She is the Regional Advisor for Training in Pain Medicine. She held the titles for Programme director for training in Pain Medicine, Deputy educational meetings coordinator for Faculty of Pain Medicine of the Royal College of Anaesthetists and council member of the education committee.

Dr Kothari offers treatment for low back pain, sciatica pain, radiculopathy, facet joint pain, neck pain, cervicogenic headaches, shoulder pain, Whiplash injuries, coccycodynia, myofascial, shoulder pain, neuropathic pain, complex regional pain syndrome, nerve pain, post-surgical pain, musculoskeletal, post traumatic pain and pelvic pain.

She offers a variety of interventional procedures in the management of different pain conditions to name a few:

  • Lumbar and cervical facet joint medial branch radiofrequency and pulsed radiofrequency.

  • Selective nerve root blocks and pulsed radio frequency of dorsal root ganglion in the cervical and lumbar regions.
  • Sacroiliac joint injection and radiofrequency denervation.
