If you are experiencing symptoms relating to your heart and want answers quickly, then our Rapid Cardiac Assessment service is for you. Within two days of contacting us, you can have a bespoke set of tests and heart scans arranged that will provide a detailed analysis of your heart which you can then talk through with our private cardiologists, getting the reassurance or treatment plan you need quickly.

Alternatively, if you don't have any symptoms and would just like a routine private heart check up, then you can use our Healthy Heart Assessment service.

Should further tests or treatment be needed, our expert Cardiologists and Cardiac Nurses, and our Interventional Cardiology Suite provide a one stop cardiac service, giving you peace of mind.

Healthy Heart Assessment

 

A fixed set of cardiology tests for those not experiencing cardiac symptoms to examine their heart function. Our Healthy Heart Assessment includes an ECG, a private echocardiogram, a cholesterol test, a thyroid test, a blood test, and more. Your results will be processed in 7 working days and reviewed by a Consultant Cardiologist. Our team will notify you of your results and a copy sent to your GP.

RAPID CARDIAC Assessment

 
If you are experiencing symptoms such as mild chest pain, palpitations or breathlessness, we can offer you a triage with a Cardiac Nurse, followed by a tailored set of heart scans and tests to obtain a detailed insight into your cardiovascular health.
Once these private cardiology tests have been completed, you will have a face-to-face appointment with a Consultant Cardiologist to discuss your symptoms and results.

What is our Cardiology Centre?Our Cardiology Centre is a dedicated heart and cardiac facility within KIMS Hospital that focuses on early diagnostics of cardiac related issues. The Cardiology Centre provides a range of private cardiology testing such as, an ECG, a private echocardiogram, a cholesterol test, a thyroid test, a blood test, and more. If needed, our Cardiology Consultants are able to perform  interventional cardiac services such as a private angiogram or a private angioplasty, or implant pacemakers, ICDs and other cardiac devices. At KIMS Hospital’s Cardiology Centre, we specialise in interventional cardiology and contain the only private Interventional Cardiology facility in Kent.
What is a Rapid Cardiac Assessment?KIMS Hospital’s Rapid Cardiac Assessment service is for anyone experiencing any symptoms relating to the heart. We offer prompt and effective diagnosis and further cardiology testing and after care with our expert team and specialised private cardiologists. Our Rapid Rapid Cardiac Assessment service is suitable for anyone experiencing the following; Heart Palpitations, Chest pain, Breathlessness, Suspected Hypertension, Heart murmurs, Abnormal ECG results, and Unexplained faints/syncope. What is a Healthy Heart Assessment?A Healthy Heart Assessment is a private heart health check for anyone who is not experiencing any symptoms, but wants peace of mind. This cardiac service will consist of a range of heart scans and tests including; an ECG, private echocardiogram, Cholesterol test, thyroid test, blood tests for blood disorders and kidney function, liver check, glucose tests and more. This is a thorough heart check that will be reviewed by a Consultant Cardiologist and identify if any further cardiac testing is required. What private heart tests and private heart scans are involved?The range of heart scans and tests differ depending on which service you have been assigned based on your heart related symptoms. The following can be included: For the Healthy Heart Assessment you could have an ECG, an echocardiogram, a cholesterol test, a thyroid test, a full blood count and blood test, a liver check, a blood glucose test, urinalysis, and a check of your sodium, potassium and creatinine levels. For a Rapid Cardiac Assessment, you may need an ECG, a Echocardiogram, a 14 day CardioSTAT test, Blood tests, a 24 hour blood pressure monitor and a lying and standing blood pressure test. Each service is bespoke to the individual's symptoms, medication and medical history.
How much does a private cardiology appointment cost?To start the process, you must call us on 01622 538186 or email CardiacTriage@kims.org.uk to book your triage with a Cardiac Nurse. This assessment is free and will determine what your cardiology journey will entail. For a Rapid Cardiac Assessment, prices are from £500, depending on the range of tests required. Tests are assigned based on the symptoms you state having on the triage call. Our Healthy Heart Assessment cost is £550 and this is for individuals that do not have any symptoms. Depending on results from both services, there may need to be further investigation which can include more tests and appointments which are not included in the package costs above.
