Clive got back to doing the things he loved

Clive Goatham, visited Consultant Cardiologist Naveen Mudalagiri at our cardiology centre for an angioplasty procedure, after tests showed he needed a stent fitted to widen his artery.

“Within a week, I was back to walking around the farm without any pain or swelling in my legs.”

Life before treatment at The Cardiology Centre

“I had been experiencing swelling and water retention in my legs that was restricting my ability to walk, so I visited my local GP who suggested I had a blood test. Following the results, my GP suggested I find a cardiologist.”

“I came across Naveen Mudalagiri, the consultant cardiologist at KIMS Hospital, on their website and made an appointment at the Rapid Access Clinic for the following week. After an echocardiogram and blood pressure monitor test, I was booked in for an angioplasty to have a stent fitted.”

Clive's experience at KIMS Hospital

“I was nervous in the lead up to the surgery, but I needn’t have worried at all. From the minute I arrived, everybody was so warm and friendly. The staff were amazing and talked me through each step, putting any fears I’d had in the lead up to my visit, behind me.

“I arrived early on the day and was the first person to be seen. After a mild sedative, I was walked through to have the procedure done. I was conscious throughout and Naveen talked me through what he was doing the whole time. It didn’t take long to have the stent fitted, and within an hour, I was sitting up in my room eating breakfast and drinking a cup of tea.”

“KIMS Hospital is where I go for any health matters now. I’ve been to their GP, orthopaedic and urology services. The care, attention, and knowledge of all the team is exceptionally good, and I’m always treated as one of the family.”
