Physiotherapy FAQs
Do I need to be referred for physiotherapy treatment?
No, you can book an appointment directly with our team. We will assess your condition independently and discuss your symptoms, lifestyle and medical history to help decide on the best course of treatment for you. However, we do accept referrals from GPs and consultants.
If you are using private medical insurance, please check with your provider, as you may need a referral from an appropriate healthcare professional.
Do I need to have had an assessment to join a group class?
You will need to have attended a consultation prior to joining any group classes as we need to make sure you’re on the road to recovery and that any activity is safe for your specific condition.
Can I use my private medical insurance for physio?
Yes, we are recognised by all major private medical insurance companies. Please check with your provider before booking your appointment as you may require a referral from an appropriate healthcare professional. Find out more about using your private medical insurance.
How will I know who I need to see?
You can see any member of the physiotherapy team for an initial assessment. Following their evaluation of your condition and requirements they will ensure your ongoing physiotherapy treatment is with the most appropriate member of the team.
