If you’re experiencing issues with your parathyroid, including primary, secondary or tertiary hyperparathyroidism, you may be considering parathyroid surgery. During parathyroid surgery, an ENT Surgeon will remove one or more of the parathyroid glands.

Health problems caused by parathyroid issues, such as too much calcium in your blood, could be resulting in symptoms such as:

  • kidney stones
  • fatigue
  • memory problems
  • muscle and bone pain
  • excessive urinating

A parathyroidectomy is an effective hyperparathyroidism treatment that can help alleviate symptoms by stopping the parathyroid gland producing excess hormones, or by removing a tumour. Whatever the cause, our team of specialists are here to help you get back to doing the things you love, and will support you every step of the way.
