We are delighted here at KIMS Hospital, Maidstone to of raised an amazing £16,248 for our 2022/23 Charity of the Year, Air Ambulance Charity Kent Surrey Sussex (KSS).

The hospital’s charity of the year is chosen by the team of over 500 employees who then hold a number of events, challenges and competitions to help fundraise for the charity.

“The Air Ambulance is a vital service for our local community and I am immensely proud of the KIMS Hospital team’s fundraising efforts.” KIMS Hospital’s Executive Chairperson, Prema Subaskaran.

Kerry Campbell, Corporate Relations Officer at KSS, provided us with feedback on how partnership has gone over the last 2 years; “KIMS Hospital has been a fabulous charity supporter over the past two years. We have really enjoyed getting to know the team and being involved in their numerous fundraising activities, they truly have gone above and beyond. We are so grateful for the staggering amount of money raised since 2022. Without support like this we can’t keep flying and saving lives.”

The charity was selected to be our Charity of the Year for two years, and since 2022, KIMS Hospital’s Social Committee have organised over 12 fundraising events including two sponsored walks one of which was 15 miles long, a coronation themed cake sale, a clothes swap and a summer family fun day on the hottest day of the year in 2023!

“Air Ambulance Charity Kent Surrey Sussex was the perfect fit for our Charity of the Year. We have had a lot of fun over the last two years supporting them and have even had the honour of a fly-by at our Summer Fun Day.” Keli Tomlin, our Clinical Nurse Manager and Chair of KIMS Hospital’s Social Committee.

Voting has gone out to the Hospital’s employees to vote for their Charity of the Year 2024. After a hotly contested race, the KIMS Hospital team voted to support Rochester based charity, Holding on Letting Go, who offer bereavement support for children, young people and their families, for the next two years. The teams here at KIMS Hospital are very excited to support this amazing new charity and fundraising will commence from January.
