Professional Profile

Dr Maxwell Asante consults in all areas of general gastroenterology.  He has a special interest in the evaluation, diagnosis and management of acid related disorders; alteration in bowel function eg irritable bowel syndrome and colitis; food related disorders and cancer diagnosis.  He offers diagnostic/therapeutic endoscopy, including wireless endoscopy, balloon enteroscopy and ERCP.He completed his undergraduate medical studies in 1987 and holds membership of the following professional bodies: British Medical Association; British Society of Gastroenterology; Medical Protection Society and the Royal College of Physicians, London.He is heavily involved in research and, as such, is widely published in aspects of gastroenterology.
