Our Breast Prosthesis Clinic aims to provide you with a breast form and guidance on how to care for your prosthesis. We also offer a variety of bras measured to fit your unique shape and swim breast forms so you can get back to doing what you love with confidence.
Our Breast Care Nurses will be there to support you every step of the way.

Who is the clinic suitable for?
The Breast Prosthesis Clinics are available to patients who have had a mastectomy or a lumpectomy.
You may have been given temporary ‘soft’ prosthesis can be used as part of your post-operative care, until your wound has healed.
Wounds must be healed prior to attending a clinic.
Do I need to bring anything to the fitting?
When attending a fitting we would ask you to bring your existing bras with you. Please also bring a vest top and another one that is easy to remove.
How will I know what prosthesis is best suited to me?
Firstly, one of our Breast Care Nurses will measure you for a bra – this is an important aspect of the fitting clinic as poorly fitted bras may affect the look of the prosthesis.
Once a correct bra size has been determined, the team will be able to identify your breast form size.
The Nurse will allow you to trial a variety of different styles and shapes to enable you to decide which is best suited for you.
Will I be able to take home my prosthesis on the same day?
We keep a variety of stock on site including swim forms, prothesis and a range of different styles of bra. If we have your size and shape available you should be able to go home with your prosthesis on the same day.
Is this service covered by my Private Medical Insurance?
Please reach out to your insurance company to check if this service is included in your package before you attend a clinic.
We also offer a self-pay option if you would like to fund your own treatment.

Please be aware, if you are requesting a diagnostic scan such as an MRI, or CT, you must have a referral from a relevant clinician or Allied Health professional such as a physiotherapist.
