At KIMS Hospital we recently celebrated the reconfiguration of our wards, which has led to an improved experience for our patients.
Geoffrey Raisbeck, the chair of our Patient Forum, joined us to celebrate the official reopening. On behalf of the Patient Forum, he cut the ribbon and shared some kind words, thanking all our wonderful staff who supported the move. Everyone has been committed to the smooth transition into our new layout, with the hospital remaining fully operational during the moves so we could continue providing high quality care at our state-of-the-art facilities.
The reconfiguration is an exciting development for KIMS Hospital and the ward teams, as with all the wards being at one end of the hospital, accessibility has been improved and it has enabled our nursing staff to assist patients more efficiently.
Relocating all our outpatient functions onto half of the ground floor has also improved accessibility, giving patients easier access to Outpatients, Pre-Assessment and Imaging. We call this our “One-Stop” approach.
Our Cardiology Department is now in one place, giving patients better access to our Cardiologists and improving their overall experience.
Geoffrey Raisbeck commented, “As part of the Patient Forum, it’s a real privilege to be working with such a proactive and energised team here at KIMS Hospital to help improve the patient experience. This recent change to the wards is just one example of their ongoing commitment to providing the best possible care to their patients at every stage from diagnosis to recovery.
