Professional Profile

In 2009 Sarah completed her BTEC National Diploma in Health and Social Care Vocational qualification at Mid-Kent College. Once leaving college, she worked with various community healthcare agencies prior to obtaining her first job in an acute hospital setting as a Clinical Support Worker. Sarah transitioned over to Physiotherapy which is where she has worked since then in all different specialties’. Sarah has had job roles ranging from a Physiotherapy Assistant and has worked her way up to her current job role which is an Inpatient Physical Therapy Technical Instructor. Sarah previously worked in Greenwich as a Senior Community Therapies Practitioner and was fortunate enough to complete a level 4 course in Supporting Those with Long Term Conditions which has helped greatly with her current job role. Sarah currently has a link role for the Health and Safety team and has completed IOSH training twice since joining KIMS Hospital to help implement training and updates for the department on a monthly basis.

Sarah’s passion for looking after people and wanting to help others improve and succeed stems from her grandmother who was a carer for many years and she felt that it is important to support other individuals in times of need. Sarah’s own physical lifestyle suits her job role and she attend sthe gym 3-5 times a week completing a combination of strength and cardio based sessions which she thoroughly enjoys. Sarah has the energy and enthusiasm to help motivate and encourage others, especially post-surgery, when patients need it the most. Her kind, caring and patient approach to her job role is important in helping to assist patients with a positive and successful recovery journey.
