Mr Omar Dawood

Mr Omar Dawood joined Queen Victoria Hospital as a Consultant in 2023. He is a fully qualified, UK-trained plastic, reconstructive and aesthetic surgeon with extensive international experience. He graduated from the University of Mosul, where he completed his initial medical training and higher training in plastic surgery in Iraq. In recognition of his outstanding performance, he was awarded a prestigious scholarship as one of the top graduates in the country.

Mr Dawood subsequently moved to the UK, where he completed his Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree and undertook further specialist training in plastic surgery across several leading hospitals. Following successful completion of his specialist examinations, he completed advanced subspecialty training in trauma and lower limb reconstruction, breast surgery and microsurgery. He has also developed expertise in aesthetic surgery through additional practice in the Middle East, complementing his reconstructive work.

In addition to his role at Queen Victoria Hospital, Mr Dawood supports clinical teams at Tunbridge Wells Hospital, providing specialist plastic surgery input for complex cases. Mr Dawood holds the Intercollegiate Fellowship in Plastic Surgery (FRCS Plast) and the Fellowship of the European Board of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery. He is listed on the General Medical Council (GMC) Specialist Register for Plastic Surgery.
