Kumar is a Australian Fellowship trained foot and ankle surgeon who came through the rigorous South East London training program and has been a consultant for over 10 years with the focus on rapid recovery surgery and a special interest in minimally invasive for keyhole techniques. These are based around all of the foot and ankle but he is a high volume keyhole bunion surgeon having published in this area, as well as teaching this type of surgery internationally. He has a good background with sports injuries in elite and competitive fun loving athletes and a believer in early rehabilitation when appropriate. Socially he still plays club hockey having hung up his rugby boots to coach and encourage the next generation of athletes including his 3 sons to love and have fun playing sport.
