Mr Gihan Jayasinghe

Mr Jayasinghe was raised in Kent and studied medicine at St George’s Medical School and also completed an MSc in Musculoskeletal Sciences at UCL, passing with credit and distinction respectively. He has experience in Orthopaedics since 2011 and underwent his specialist training on the Kent, Surrey and Sussex training rotation. Along the way he has received academic prizes and bursaries as well as publishing a number of research papers and presenting them at international Orthopaedic conferences. Following his training he undertook a fellowship at the renowned South West London Elective Orthopaedic Centre (SWLEOC), where he was under the tutelage of some of the UK’s most eminent professors and surgeons. Alongside routine joint replacements he also learnt to conduct direct anterior approach hip replacements, computer navigated knee replacements and revision hip replacements.

Outside of work he loves spending time and travelling with his family. He is passionate about sport and fitness and enjoys managing a children’s football team in his spare time.
Mr Jayasinghe is passionate about Orthopaedic surgery, priding himself on his caring and meticulous nature. He gains deep job satisfaction from increasing his patients’ quality of life and wellbeing through hip and knee joint replacement surgery.
