Dr Tharakaram or ‘Tharak’ qualified MBBS from Madras Medical College, the oldest medical school in India where he trained in Dermatology and General Medicine. This was followed by a year working with leprosy.
He has trained and worked in respected Dermatology Units including Addenbrooke’s Hospital, Cambridge, St Bartholomew’s Hospital, Royal Free Hospital, London and St John’s Dermatology Centre before being appointed to a full time consultant in Dudley. After six years he moved to Maidstone & Tunbridge Wells as the Lead Consultant.
He has written on cutaneous metastases has lectured on various topics including medical history.
