Professional Profile
Dr Chong was appointed Consultant Neurologist in 1997. He underwent undergraduate and postgraduate training in London. He obtained the degree of Doctorate in Medicine after conducting research on pain and nerve regeneration.
His specialist interest is in managing patients with Headaches and Nerve Damage Pain. He has co-authored over 30 papers and 5 chapters in books and lectured nationally and internationally on these subjects.
He was a member of the NICE GDG for Management of Headaches published in 2012. In 2013, he helped to produce the NICE Guidelines for treating Neuropathic Pain. He was also Specialist Advisor to the Quality and Standards Committee and Health Technology Assessment Group at NICE.
