Dr Mayur Kumar

Dr Mayur Kumar is an experienced Consultant Gastroenterologist with specialist expertise in pancreaticobiliary medicine, liver and oesophageal disease, inflammatory bowel disease and advanced diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy.

He completed his specialist training in internal medicine and gastroenterology across London and the South East, achieving his Certificate of Completion of Training in 2013. He is fully accredited by the Joint Advisory Group for OGD, colonoscopy, sigmoidoscopy and ERCP, and is an approved endoscopist for the National Bowel Cancer Screening Programme.

Dr Kumar undertook advanced endoscopy and ERCP training at University College London and has presented his research at major national and international conferences. His academic work has been widely published in peer reviewed journals, with ongoing research interests in pancreato biliary disorders and emerging endoscopic techniques.

He is an active member of the British Society of Gastroenterology, the Royal College of Physicians and the American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy. Alongside his clinical practice, he is committed to education and regularly trains junior doctors and gastroenterology trainees.

Dr Kumar has extensive experience in managing pancreaticobiliary conditions, IBD, liver disease, GI cancers, functional bowel disorders and coeliac disease. He takes a patient centred approach and works closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure high quality, personalised care.
