Enquiries & appointments Senior Inpatient PhysiotherapistProfessional Profile
Courtney graduated Kings College university completing a Masters in Physiotherapy in 2019 after finishing an undergraduate degree in Sports Therapy from University of Kent. After her studies, she was quickly thrown into acute hospital working life during the Covid-19 pandemic in Intensive Care, having minimal respiratory exposure at this point and having to adapt through the visors and faces shields.
Courtney has experience working over a range of acute NHS settings for 5 years around the South East, including trauma and orthopaedics. She is also very proud of her work with Macmillan, where she was part of piloting a new programme to help patients to live better after surviving cancer, which was very fulfilling.
She spent most of her youth playing football to a semi-professional standard for the likes of Chelsea, Charlton and Gillingham Women, in the most important position as a goalkeeper! Witnessing teammates rehab from sporting injuries and surgeries has led to a special interest in more complex knee procedures such as ACL reconstruction; which is a hot topic in women’s football at current.
