Dr Alawad is a consultant in Anaesthesia and Pain Management at Medway NHS Foundation Trust. His clinical commitments include outpatient pain clinic and pain intervention lists.Dr Alawad provides a comprehensive management for a wide range of chronic pain conditions such as musculoskeletal pain, whiplash injuries, disc disease, neuropathic pain and fibromyalgia. He has a particular interest in spinal pain management including neck pain, back pain, brachiagia and sciatica. Dr Alawad completed his specialist training in anaesthesia at Barts and the London School of Anaesthesia.
He then completed his advanced pain medicine fellowship training at Whipps Cross and St Bartholomew’s hospitals in London. Following completion of his training in 2012 he became a consultant in pain medicine at Barts and the London NHS Trust for three years. Dr Alawad was appointed as a consultant in Anaesthesia and Pain Medicine at Medway NHS Foundation Trust in 2015.
