Professional Profile
Mr Tang is a Paediatric Orthopaedic consultant whose NHS practice is based at Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust. He obtained his medical degree at Kings’ College London with Distinction in basic medical sciences, before completing his basic surgical training in Nottingham followed by specialist orthopaedic training based in the Yorkshire surgical deanery.
Upon achieving his specialist certification, he progressed onto further subspecialist training within children’s orthopaedic at both Sheffield Children’s Hospital and also Great Ormond Street Hospital. He also designed a bespoke paediatric and adolescent knee surgery fellowship by completing an adult and adolescent knee fellowship at the prestigious Derby Sports Knee department.
He covers all aspects of children’s bone and joint surgery, and also has an interest within children and adolescent knee pathologies, covering all aspect of soft tissue and corrective knee surgery.
He is also an active serving personnel with the British Army Reserves, and strives to improve the delivery of medical care to serving members of His Majesty’s armed forces.
