Senior Primary Care Liaison Officer | KIMS Hospital Maidstone

37.5 Hours per week permanent | Competitive Salary and Car Allowance.

We have an exciting opportunity for a creative and entrepreneurial individual to join our Business Development Team as a Senior Primary Care Liaison Officer. You will be responsible for increasing the awareness of KIMS Hospital by promoting a range of services to key stakeholders such as Consultants, GPs, Allied Health Professionals (AHP’s) and Local Businesses.  

This role is ideally suited to a positive self-starter who has proven experience in field-based sales and an understanding of the private healthcare industry.

Role Responsibilities

As a Senior Primary Care Liaison Officer you will:

  • Strategically plan and deliver GP & AHP education events within key specialties, to build relationships between stakeholders and KIMS Hospital, SMC & LHO Consultants.
  • Implement an account management plan for your allocated territory, keeping key stakeholders up to date with Hospital services, consultants and pathways to drive activity.
  • Manage the commercial and day to day relationships with Consultants and outreach sites for existing outreach clinics.
  • Actively contribute to the development of other PCLO team members by passing on knowledge, experience and guidance.
  • Suggest and implement improvements to how the wider team works, contributing to the development and success of the Primary Care Liaison Team.

Person Specification

Essential

  • Have an understanding of Private Healthcare including referral pathways for both NHS and private patients.
  • Have a solid commercial understanding of healthcare and how to apply a commercial focus to developing safe, outstanding care.                                             
  • Autonomous and able to manage your own time and diary, with the ability to conduct day to day admin such as appointment planning, emails, and telephone calls from home.
  • Excellent communication and written English Language skills.

Desirable

  • Experience of actively working with Consultants, GPs or other clinicians in Primary Care in the Kent area.
  • Existing relationships with Consultants, GPs or other clinicians in Primary Care in the Kent area.
  • Understanding of operational patient pathways.

Preparation is key

Before your interview, take the time to research your potential new employer, finding out about their company values and what you might expect working there. Have a clear travel plan ready for the day of the interview, allowing extra time for possible delays - being punctual will allow you time to gather your thoughts and check your notes. Talk as clearly and confidently as you can and if you don’t understand a question, ask for clarification. When answering, focus on positive experiences and be prepared to go into detail about your previous positions and your future aspirations.
