Sevenoaks Medical CentreProfessional Profile
Hannah qualified at the University of Brighton in 2004 with a first class Honours degree in Podiatry. Following this she gained a placement at the New York College of Podiatric Medicine in July 2004 to widen her experience of complex podiatry related problems.
She worked in the NHS (Kent PCT) before employment by the MoD in 2007 to provide and set up Musculoskeletal Podiatry clinics at the Defence Medical Rehabilitation Centre, Headley Court – a Tri–Service Centre offering a broad range of rehabilitation for both chronic overuse musculoskeletal injuries as well as complex injuries sustained during recent conflicts. Here she was the clinical lead senior podiatrist for 10 years and gained extensive experience.
In 2014 Hannah became the director of Frontline Podiatry and started working within the private sector, bringing her knowledge gained within the MoD to the active civilian population.
Hannah treats both national and international athletes and provides sports podiatry to Liverpool Football Club players in the Premier League. She has also treated the RFU England Women’s rugby team during the World Cup in 2014 and has provided a screening service for UK Athletics.
She lectures extensively in gait analysis, podiatric trauma and sports medicine to Podiatrists and other health care professionals and regularly speaks at conferences on foot and ankle biomechanics and specifically on the management of running related problems such as shin pain.
She firmly believes in an interdisciplinary approach to injury management and takes a holistic view. She is fortunate enough to work very closely alongside sports medicine consultants, orthopaedic consultants, sports physiotherapists, osteopaths and running coaches.
Hannah is committed to continuing professional development. She is registered with most major private medical insurance providers.
Hannah has two children and is a keen sportswoman, playing for Buckingham Ladies RFC.
