{"id":2816,"date":"2026-10-21T16:02:06","date_gmt":"2026-10-21T15:02:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/kims.org.uk\/careers\/vacancy\/procurement-manager-3523\/"},"modified":"2026-10-21T17:02:07","modified_gmt":"2026-10-21T16:02:07","slug":"procurement-manager-3523","status":"publish","type":"vacancy","link":"https:\/\/kims.org.uk\/careers\/vacancy\/procurement-manager-3523\/","title":{"rendered":"Procurement Manager"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Vacancy: Procurement Manager<\/p>\n<p>Job Reference: 3523<\/p>\n<p>Location: KIMS Hospital, Maidstone<\/p>\n<p>Hours: 37.5 Hours<\/p>\n<p>Salary: &pound;50,000 &#8211; &pound;55,000<\/p>\n<p>Lead procurement that makes a difference to patient care.<\/p>\n<p>KIMS Hospital is looking for an experienced and commercially focused Procurement Manager to lead our Procurement &amp; Supplies function across KIMS and support our wider healthcare group.<\/p>\n<p>This is a key operational leadership role, responsible for ensuring the effective purchasing, supply and stock management of goods and services across the hospital. You will lead a high-performing team, build strong supplier relationships and ensure we achieve best value, efficiency and service excellence, while keeping patient care at the heart of everything we do.<\/p>\n<p>What you&#39;ll be doing<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Leading the day-to-day Procurement &amp; Supplies operation, ensuring timely purchasing and delivery of essential goods and services.<\/li>\n<li>Managing and developing the team, creating a culture of accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement.<\/li>\n<li>Overseeing stock management and provisioning, ensuring optimal stock levels while minimising waste and obsolescence.<\/li>\n<li>Building strong supplier relationships and supporting negotiations, contract management and cost-saving initiatives.<\/li>\n<li>Working closely with clinical and operational teams to ensure procurement delivers the right products, at the right quality and value.<\/li>\n<li>Supporting the implementation and development of procurement, purchasing and stock management systems.<\/li>\n<li>Leading initiatives including Scan for Safety, digitalisation and process improvement.<\/li>\n<li>Supporting procurement activity across KIMS and our sister sites within the group.<\/li>\n<li>Deputising for the Group Head of Procurement when required.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>About you<\/p>\n<p>We are looking for an experienced Procurement &amp; Supplies leader with a minimum of 3 years&#39; experience managing a substantial procurement function within a regulated environment, together with a CIPS or degree-level qualification.<\/p>\n<p>You will be a confident and inspiring leader with strong commercial awareness, excellent stakeholder management skills and a proven ability to lead teams through change.<\/p>\n<p>Experience within healthcare, or a similarly regulated environment, together with knowledge of purchasing, stores and supply chain management, would be highly desirable.<\/p>\n<p>Most importantly, you will be patient-focused, collaborative and passionate about delivering continuous improvement.<\/p>\n<p>Why join KIMS?<\/p>\n<p>This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing, clinician-led healthcare organisation where effective procurement directly supports patient safety, quality of care and outstanding clinical outcomes.<\/p>\n<p>If you are an experienced procurement leader who thrives on delivering operational excellence, developing people and finding smarter ways of working, we&#39;d love to hear from you.<\/p>\n<p>KIMS Hospital employees enjoy the following benefits:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Competitive Salary<\/li>\n<li>Pension Scheme<\/li>\n<li>Private Health Insurance<\/li>\n<li>33 Days annual leave plus extra time off for your birthday<\/li>\n<li>Life Assurance<\/li>\n<li>Annual Flu Vaccination<\/li>\n<li>Free Eye Test<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>If you do not receive a reply within 1 working week from the closing date, please assume you have not been shortlisted on this occasion.<\/p>\n<p>If you have any queries regarding this vacancy, Juliet would be happy to help.
