{"id":2791,"date":"2026-09-06T12:02:06","date_gmt":"2026-09-06T11:02:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/kims.org.uk\/careers\/vacancy\/theatre-scheduler-3499\/"},"modified":"2026-09-06T13:02:07","modified_gmt":"2026-09-06T12:02:07","slug":"theatre-scheduler-3499","status":"publish","type":"vacancy","link":"https:\/\/kims.org.uk\/careers\/vacancy\/theatre-scheduler-3499\/","title":{"rendered":"Theatre Scheduler"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><b>Theatre Scheduler<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>Location: <\/b>KIMS Hospital, Maidstone<\/p>\n<p><b>Hours: <\/b>37.5 Hours per week 4 days per week between Monday and Saturday 08:00 &ndash; 18:00.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b>Salary: <\/b>&pound;28,560.00 per annum<\/p>\n<p><b><em>Are you patient focused, with a desire and proven ability to contribute to delivering healthcare at its best?<\/em><\/b>&nbsp;<b><em>Do you want to progress your career and skills?<\/em><\/b><\/p>\n<p>We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Theatre Scheduler to join our Theatres team.&nbsp; As a Theatre Coordinator, you will be responsible for scheduling all theatre bookings, ensuring an efficient and responsive service is provided to medical secretaries, consultants, NHS contract teams and hospital departments.<\/p>\n<p>You will Maintain a clear code of conduct and high standards of customer service in terms of discretion, dignity, respect, and excellent customer service to all internal and external customers.<\/p>\n<p>See what our staff have to say about working in KIMS&nbsp;Theatres.<\/p>\n<p><b>Role Responsibilities:<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Responsible for the appropriate management of theatre booking slots, liaising with Consultants, medical sectaries and hospital departments as required.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure all necessary paperwork is completed, ensure all information is attached to all booking forms (clinic letter)<\/li>\n<li>Liaise with Theatre leads\/ Billing\/ Finance for any information regarding a procedure that may need costing before accepting booking forms.<\/li>\n<li>To provide effective communication between the Medical Secretarial Department, Consultants and Patients, etc.<\/li>\n<li>Provide non-clinical information to patients and families, where necessary. Including cancellation of operation.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Person Specification<\/b><\/p>\n<p><u>Essential<\/u><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Educated to GCSE standard (or equivalent)<\/li>\n<li>Display excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills<\/li>\n<li>Able to work proactively, on own initiative with minimal supervision Able to work as part of a team.<\/li>\n<li>Strong organisational and time management skills<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><u>Desirable<\/u><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Possession of a secretarial qualification<\/li>\n<li>Experience of working in a hospital<\/li>\n<li>Working knowledge of Microsoft packages or equivalent.
