We have an exciting opportunity to be part of the Physical Therapy Department services at KIMS Hospital. Our current Physical Therapy service at KIMS Hospital is a multi-disciplinary team comprising of Physiotherapists, Osteopaths, Hand therapists, Occupational Therapists, Women’s Health Specialist and a Sports Medicine Consultant to provide exceptional patient care throughout the entire patient journey.
Reporting to the Outpatient Lead Physical Therapist, we have an opening for a Senior Physical Therapist to join our growing team and support the departments development. You will be an essential part of the team across sites, offering clinical assessments of patients ensuring that the patient experience and care remains at the heart of the business.
Role Responsibilities include:
- To carry out assessments of patients as an autonomous practitioner, including those with complex presentations, using developed clinical reasoning gained through training and previous experience
- Formulate and deliver physical therapy treatment programmes based on clinical knowledge and evidence-based practice
- Maintain accurate written record standards and to monitor those of more junior Physical Therapists
- Contribute to the implementation of hospital policies and procedures in line with the CSP, CQC and other governing bodies
- Engage with other medical professionals both internally and externally, maintaining professional clinical relationships
- Be flexible to working patterns across weekdays and weekends, as the department operates across 7 days
- Will be a qualified Physiotherapist, Osteopath or Chiropractor
- Be absolutely patient focused with a desire to facilitate a collaborative culture within the department
- Hold a valid registration with the Health Care Professions Council (HCPC) or equivalent
- Have a minimum of 2 years post-registration clinical experience inclusive of management of orthopaedic patients.
- Be energetic and achievement focused with a passion for therapy and the desire to develop
- Possess evidence of continuous professional development

Such as, what is expected of you in the first 6 months? Or, what training opportunities are there? Or, what has the interviewers experience of working for the company been like? It’s an excellent way of showing genuine interest.
It’s important to leave the interview on a positive note. If you haven’t already discussed it, you may want to ask when you can expect to hear about their final decision. When it is time to leave, smile and thank them for seeing you. Shake hands firmly and confidently, and if you have enjoyed discussing the job, tell them.
